Volunteer
In May of 1995, Shirley brought her sick iguana to our clinic on an emergency visit. Unfortunately, the iguana died on the way to the clinic. After spending most of that Saturday morning with us, she asked if we ever accepted volunteers. She has been doing volunteer work here ever since!
Shirley teaches second and third grade at Madison Elementary School in Greeley. She has enjoyed watching surgeries, assisting our veterinary nurses, and caring for our patients and clinic pets.
Shirley has a son, Tom, a daughter, Danielle, and a beautiful granddaughter named Magnolia Shea. She loves animals and has quite a collection of them, many of which were orphans at the clinic. She says she loves being part of a wonderful team and that she has learned so much that she is able to share with her class.
